Q & A

We know that you may have questions about the combination of Elvacite™ and Dianal under the globally recognized Elvacite™ brand. In this section we have tried to answer as many of them as possible.

The changes are only to the brand name, there will be no change to any manufacturing processes, packaging, recipes, manufacturing locations, lot numbers or product specification as a result of the change to the Elvacite™ brand name.

The change is only to the brand name, there will be no change to any manufacturing processes, packaging, recipes, manufacturing locations, lot numbers or product specification as a result of the change to the Elvacite™ brand name.

The change is only to the brand name, there will be no change to any manufacturing processes, packaging, recipes, manufacturing locations, lot numbers or product specification as a result of the change to the Elvacite™ brand name.

There will be no change to the existing bead resin manufacturing or development locations.

Your distributor may change, you should have been contacted already, if you have not please reach out to your sales or customer service representative. Mitsubishi Chemical Group want to make sure any change in distributor is seamless for our customers.

There should be no need to send products back. This is a name change only and does not affect the specification nor shelf life in any way or the products you have in stock. We would recommend that you consume Dianal labeled products in the normal way.

We would request that as of this launch date you submit all orders with the new grade name. Your customer service team at MCG will fulfill your order with existing inventory, once the the Dianal labeled inventory is consumed customer service will switch to the Elvacite™ labeled product.

We thank you for your understanding during this transition period.

As of the launch date we would request that you submit all orders with the Elvacite™ brand name. Although there may be some Dianal labeled resin in inventory, and your orders may be filled with Dianal resin as the inventory is worked down, we look forward to accepting Elvacite™ orders.

Grades with a Dianal grade name will change to Elvacite™ over the next several months. Dianal labeled grade will be available for as long as there is inventory available and contracts permit.

This project is to streamline the branding of the MCG bead resin business, nothing more!

Only bead resin will be affected by this change. MCG solution resins, powder products and other branded products will continue to be sold under existing brand names.

If you have any questions, contact your sales representative or our customer service team.

We do not anticipate any need for product requalification. The resins will continue to be produced on the same assets and to the same specifications—the only change will be the product brand name. If you would like a sample, please request one through customer service or contact your sales rep.

If you would like a picture of the new package, please contact your sales representative or CS team.

The manufacturing plants will remain unchanged.

We are making changes to our distribution partners as we believe they offer outstanding support and service for our products. If you have any concerns, please contact your sales representative.

There should be no cost involved in changing the brand name of these grades. However, if you have concerns please contact your sales rep.

All products will continue to be produced at the same location and to the same specifications. MCG will gradually phase out the Dianal brand name as we deplete existing inventory. This transition may take several months.

There are no plans to change the manufacturing locations of specific grades. For example, if a Dianal grade was exclusively produced at a specific location, the equivalent Elvacite™ grade will continue to be produced only at that same location.

This is a brand name change, we do not intend to close any sites or consolidate any grades as part of this rebranding program.

This project is about streamlining our brand name. As part of this objective there is no plan to rationalize grades.

This project is about streamlining our brand name. As part of this objective there is no plan to change made-to-order grades to stocked inventory.

It should not affect lead time nor product availability.

Where there are warranties and guarantees these will remain unchanged as part of this branding change.

There will be no changes to the product specification, the only thing that will change will be the brand name.

Over the coming months, Dianal grades will be gradually replaced by Elvacite™ grades as new production rolls out. The full transition will be completed once existing stock is depleted and contractual obligations are fulfilled. It is expected that transition will start over the next several months and may take a year or more for the full transition to be complete.

For customers who purchase from a legacy Dianal distributor you will be able to purchase from the newly appointed Dianal distributor and in certain cases buy directly. This will be volume and logistic-dependent.

SDS’s and COA’s will be made available as these grades are produced for the first time after April 1st 2025.

There will be no change in country registration.

If you need an SDS for a resin with its old brand name we can provide it.
