Our KAITEKI Focus

KAITEKI aims to achieve a balance between the environment, society, technology, and business needs. This vision guides our approach, where we focus on lowering emissions and expanding the use of renewable and bio-based feedstocks. By aiming to reduce environmental impact while maintaining performance, we are shaping a more sustainable future for society.

We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our operations by lowering GHG emissions, VOCs, and waste, across our value chain.

Through initiatives like standardized life cycle assessments (LCAs) and continuous improvements in manufacturing, we ensure transparency while working toward carbon neutrality by 2050.

Improving our own footprint

Our Elvacite™ resins dissolve faster than other forms of acrylic polymers, which can reduce dissolution time and temperature requirements, to help lower downstream emissions.

They can also support customers sustainability goals by potentially lowering solvent use and VOC emissions, enabling recycling, and extending product life. By improving durability, which may reduce re-coating frequency, and by supporting recyclable packaging, our resins can help formulators work toward a lower carbon footprint.

Helping Customers Lower Their Footprint

Through initiatives like the Carbon Disclosure Project, UN Global Compact, and Global Impact Coalition, we align innovation with a low-carbon future.

Our UV-curable acrylic resins, such as Elvacite™ 4059 and 4026, can help lower VOC emissions and reduce energy use compared to solvent-based systems.

Fostering A Low Carbon Society

We are advancing the use of renewable and bio-based feedstocks to reduce reliance on fossil resources and support a circular economy.

From depolymerizing waste PMMA into cMMA for reuse to developing resins with bio-based content, like Elvacite™ TB-250 and Elvacite™ 2043, we are expanding sustainable materials without compromising performance.

Renewable And Bio Feedstocks

Toward a Lower Carbon Future, Together

We are committed to understanding and reducing the environmental impact of our raw materials. Through our GHG Supplier Program, we evaluate Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services, working closely with suppliers to collect product carbon footprint (PCF) data. By collaborating across the value chain, we could actively identify and implement solutions to lower emissions and drive meaningful progress.
